Back in 01 they had some good acts opening for them... Tiger Army, One Man Army (Great band!), Lars Fredrikson and the bastards, the distillers and my all time fav SUM 41 (if you didn't notice I was being a smart-ass on the last one), Now all we get is the hangmen, but they're OK I guess...

Big Mike,
Great post. I completely agree. I've chatted with Mike after just about every show. He always comes out to see the fans, no matter how tired he is. Funny enough, when Social D. played Stockton, in NorCal, for the first time this year, after the show security tried to have everyone arrested for hanging out behind the theater. The cops actually came and were apologetic because they didn't see it as a big deal. The sad thing was, there were a lot of kids that were there and security was just yelling at people. At one point Charlie and J2B came out and the police actually walked across the street to let us know the band was there. After 5 minutes of that, security flipped out again. Finally, we were told we could line up by the bus. 10 minutes later, security came out again yelling. This time, someone from Rebel Waltz broke it down for the security jokers and assured them that Social D. always meets the fans, always, and he didn't give a good gawddamn what Tim Gardenia Productions or the theater management thought. A few minutes later out comes Mike and hung out until the line was gone. To make a long story longer, Mike's autograph may not sell for as much as a Keith Richard's autograph but it means more because there was a connection from band to fans. Sometimes bands forget the fans and just see it as a job.

Dude, Big Ballz, the Hangmen are one of the better bands coming out of LA and one of my favorites. Give them a chance and you will love em too.

I'm with you Wolfpits - they are a great rock band! They should be bigger than what they are because they are great and deserve it! Ness wouldn't produce them if he thought otherwise....
